Citizen involvement in the PDU (French version of the European SUMP) process is obligatory only at final stage of the process: consultation of certain associations when they require it, public enquiry on a draft plan.These recent years, urban mobility authorities have innovated, involving citizens throughout the whole process (PDU cafés, citizen workshops …).
